Breast Imaging: Who Gets What and When?

Purpose:

The purpose of this activity is to provide education on current and appropriate screening modalities for breast cancer for the outpatient provider at Parkview Health.

Instructions:

Please watch the recorded presentation. You will be required to complete a post-test, a commitment to change statement referencing how this activity will change your practice, and a credit attestation to receive your CME certificate and 1 hour of CME credit. A post-test score of 80% is required to claim credit with unlimited attempts. This activity is free and will be accessible until 11/15/2023.

Objectives:

By the end of the event, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss current guidelines for breast cancer screening 

  • Understand the appropriate screening modalities 

  • Describe practical applications of breast cancer screening in your clinical practice 

 

Target Audience:

Providers in Outpatient Care

 

Professional Practice Gap:

There is a gap in appropriate breast cancer screening and triage based on current practice considering breast density and history.

Educational need: Knowledge gaps with current best practice of ordering appropriate breast cancer screening and triage of breast issues in the outpatient setting.
